I got started into r/c
modelling in 1966 when I moved back to Norwich from Gorleston.
My first attempt was a Royal Air Force fireboat, it didn't come out
too bad for a first try, it sailed very well and lasted for a few years.
I had a try at r/c aircraft - nothing too special but I never had much
luck with the engines. I then moved over to gliders, no engine problems,
and with a bit more success.
The model I had was the Super Nova that was more fun and not too hard
on the nerves. Now I am into marine modelling with five electric powered
boats and four yachts of different sizes.
It is a most enjoyable
hobby
